Long, but brilliant weekend!

Hi all...

This weekend was my third experience of Holmfirth Folk Festival, since taking over Les Caveaux Tapas & Wine Bar. Friday night saw Steph Stephenson and Matt Bentley take to our cellar bar stage. They played to our diners and drinkers in to the early hours. On Saturday Stuart Bray wowed the packed out cellar with his energy and a great sing'along was had by all. It capped off what had been an action packed weekend!

This week sees the return of resident pianist 'James Hey'. He plays from 9pm in the restaurant!

Folk festival is a fantastic opportunity for me to meet lots of new people and get a survey of opion on a whole host of things with in regards to the restaurant. During this weekend a brand new menu was launched for the summer months. The feedback on the new menu was fantastic with dishes such as Spanish ribs and Shoulder of Lamb going down a storm. It is one thing I know Head Chef Sean Creamer is very passionate about and that is producing fresh food with new ideas as often as possible. At no time will our menu become stale as he is constantly searching for, and developing his own freshest Tapas recipes. This makes our menu sexy, yet very accessible to all customers. As for our 'Fresh Fish Board' this weekend couldn't have gone any better! We had practically sold every bit of fish in the restaurant by the end of Saturday night which is testament to the quality of what Sean and his team produce!

With summer almost upon us don't waste any time in getting down to Les Caveaux Tapas & Wine Bar. Sunday to Thursday currently sees an offer of 'Any 5 dishes of Tapas for just £25.00', an offer not to be missed. And why not make it a social gathering? Get some friends together and come and get a taste for our wonderful dining experience!
